Frequently Asked Questions

CertainTeed's Solstice Gold warranty is a 25-year product and installation workmanship warranty for Solstice systems sold in the United States. The warranty covers the cost of:

- Testing the system to identify the cause of performance issues
- Repairing or replacing defective components
- Correcting faulty installation workmanship

Approved components include the CertainTeed Solar Panel, CertainTeed Solar Shingle, Enphase micro-inverters, IronRidge racking/flashing, SolarEdge (which we don't recommend at this time), SolArk, Unirac racking/flashing (which we're not recommending due to the superiority of IronRidge).

If you have a problem with your solar system, you can contact your CertainTeed Solar Master, Select Solar Master, or Solar Roofing Specialist.

If they are unavailable, you can submit a warranty claim online at https://www.ctndl.com/resndlsite/ or by calling (800) 345-1145.
CertainTeed's warranty is secured by their bankability as a 120 year old company and as a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain, one of the world's largest, oldest, and most respected companies.
CertainTeed is a leading North American company established in 1904 that manufactures building materials for both interior and exterior use. Their products include roofing, siding, insulation, drywall, solar, and much more.
The SES Design package is made to be a turn-key purchase. We will determine the amount of your power bill that the system will offset, manage aspects of pre-approvals, and help with any future service should it be necessary. Further, it meets your needs as the total grid-tied system can be protected by CertainTeed for any future uncertainties when a CertainTeed solar panel is chosen.
Roof age is one of the most important considerations for a roof-top solar system. The last thing we want is to have to remove the solar system for you to get a new roof and then reinstall. For this reason we will ask about your expected roof-life remaining to help set expectations. Our goal is to have as close to 25 years of roof life remaining to match the best-in-class CertainTeed Solstice Gold Warranty.
NABCEP, or the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners, is a non-profit organization that develops and maintains certification programs for professionals in the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries.

NABCEP certifications are considered the most recognized in the solar industry and are known as the "gold standard" for PV certifications.
Yes! Southern Exposure Solar offers financing. Our preferred finance partner does not have hidden dealer fees which inflate the cost of your solar project — so don't be fooled by too good to be true interest rates in solar.

Furthermore, the preferred finance partner of S.E.S. has the ability to accept principal only payments to lower your monthly payment and has no early payment penalty. This loan has an impressive interest rate, making it highly competitive in these times of higher interest rates.
You don't have to but we highly recommend it! That said, we can offer other panels as a local independent contractor if there is a certain manufacturer of interest. Only downside is then you'll have a usual solar system warranty.
Usually warranties are 5 Separate warranties - three from manufacturers for panels, inverters, and racking/flashing, plus two more as long as the installer stays in business to include workmanship (waterproofing/roof penetrations) and service costs should a manufacturer warranty need to be enacted.

With Southern Exposure Solar being able to offer CertainTeed's Solstice Gold Warranty for 25 years, all warranties are in a single source backed by the full strength of CertainTeed to include the CertainTeed panel, Enphase micro-inverters, IronRidge Racking and Flashing, plus workmanship and service needs!

Southern Exposure Solar is always your only call for any service needs.
